Hey there Fingers Fam! It’s your pal Julian Casablancas Dave with a simple request: please buy a subscription to Fingers, otherwise I won’t be able to keep publishing it.

I don’t enjoy sending these emails, but the truth is I have to. I depend on reader support to underwrite the work, time, and expertise that go into every edition. If you’ve been meaning to buy a Fingers subscription, and just haven’t gotten around to it yet, I’m hoping this reminder will be the nudge you need to reach for your wallet.

It’s an unfortunate reality that I don’t have limitless cash on hand to subsidize this project, but it’s reality nonetheless. I need at least 500 paid subscribers by the end of September 2022 to earn the minimum viable recurring income required to keep this project going longterm.

As of this morning, Fingers has 271 paid subscribers—just over halfway there! But unless more readers step up to financially support this independent coverage and commentary about drinking in America, eventually I’ll have to Take It Or Leave It shut Fingers down forever.
